BNB Donates New Vehicle to Independent Group Home Living Program

Supporting Innovative Programs for Intellectually Disabled Adults

Bridgehampton National Bank (BNB) recently donated a Ford E-450 box truck to the Independent Group Home Living Program (IGHL) Smile Farms. Smile Farms is a greenhouse and nursery established by IGHL in 1978 in Moriches, staffed by 30 intellectually disabled adults growing annuals and perennials for sale within the community. The new truck allows Smile Farms to increase its deliveries and continue to grow the operation.

“IGHL and BNB have a wonderful relationship” said Walter Stockton, CEO of IGHL. “They are very supportive of our organization and this truck is just one example. Bridgehampton National Bank truly puts their money where their mouth is!” Stockton said.

“When BNB Banker Marie McAlary made us aware of Smile Farm’s need for a new vehicle, we immediately looked at how we could help make the truck a reality,” said BNB CEO Kevin O’Connor. “Being a community banker is all about partnership, and we are proud to be able to help such a worthy organization. “
