WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — After months of anticipation, Citarella is set to open its newest market in Westhampton Beach on Thursday, April 30.

"With deep roots across the Hamptons, this location marks our fourth on the East End and eighth overall, joining our markets in East Hampton, Bridgehampton, and Southampton," representatives said. "Our Westhampton Beach market continues our longstanding commitment to serving each community with quality, consistency, and care. "

Beginning Thursday, April 30, our neighbors can enjoy the cornerstones of the business, including "exceptional seafood, and Prime, dry-aged beef — each held to our uncompromising standards," representatives said.

Citarella's trademark fresh seafood includes local favorites such as Montauk tilefish and branzino imported from Tuscany.

Citarella is also known for its artisanal butchers, who source and hand-cut prime beef, dry-aged in-house for 21 days to develop remarkable richness, flavor, and tenderness.

Other favorites include "small-batch, chef-prepared foods, freshly baked desserts, farm-fresh local and organic produce, and a thoughtfully curated selection of specialty imports and seasonal offerings," representatives said.

New creations exclusive to the location will also be available.

"For years, customers in Westhampton Beach have asked for a Citarella closer to home," said owner Joe Gurrera. "We’re glad to be part of the community — and to share our passion for great food and real quality."

The new Citarella is located at 141 Montauk Hwy, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978; the spot will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Along with the expansion of Citarella’s brick-and-mortar presence, the market has continued to grow via national delivery at Citarella.com. Their website, The Seafood Authority, allows anyone within the continental U.S. to order from their seafood selection for fresh overnight delivery.

"We are looking forward to having Citarella in Westhampton Beach," Southampton Town Supervisor Maria Moore said when the news first broke.

According to the Citarella website, the business was founded by Mike Citarella on the Upper West Side in 1912. Gurerra, who was originally a "fishmonger" and established at the Fulton Street Fish Market, later purchased Citarella in 1985.

The Water Mill location opened in 2000 and operated for 10 years before a larger space in Bridgehampton became available. The East Hampton location opened its doors in 2002 and in 2014, the Southampton spot was unveiled.

"A family-run business, we’re driven by a passion for great food," the site said. "Each of our local specialty markets offers hand-selected ingredients and chef-prepared dishes designed to make every meal a memorable one — with the most incredible variety of fresh seafood; prime dry aged meats; fresh produce; chef-prepared foods and pastries; artisanal cheeses; cured meats; smoked fish; a line of private label products ranging from imported olive oil to Osetra caviar; and more."
