Clerk Nabbed In Southampton Town Underage Drinking Detail: PD

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — One clerk was nabbed in an underage drinking enforcement detail that took place in Southampton Town Monday, police said.

According to New York State Police, the Riverside barracks conducted the operation — and one retail establishment was cited for selling an alcoholic beverage to an undercover state police operative under the age of 21.

A 25-year-old clerk at the 7-Eleven on Mill Road in Westhampton was arrested and charged with first-degree unlawful dealing with a child and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage.

The following establishments were also checked and found to be in compliance, police said:

1. Gas Hampton on County Road 39 in Southampton.
2. Canoe Place Fuel Mart on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
3. Shell Mart on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
4. Bolla Market Mobil on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
5. Bays Liquors on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
6. Hampton Bays Wine and Spirits on E. Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
7. 7-Eleven on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
8. Melrose Deli on W. Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.
9. Gulf Mini Mart on Montauk Highway in East Quogue.
10. East Quogue Wine and Liquor on Montauk Highway in East Quogue.
11. KP Westhampton Wine Shoppe on Montauk Highway in Westhampton Beach.
12. S and L Wine and Liquors on Montauk Highway in Speonk.
