Crowd Shows Up For Loggerhead Sea Turtle Release: Photos, Video

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — Scores turned out to Tiana Beach in Hampton Bays Wednesday for a loggerhead sea turtle release hosted by The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation.

Four loggerhead sea turtles made "their way home," according to the Riverhead Foundation. "All sea turtles will be headed back to the ocean simultaneously. The lucky turtles are Paprika, Ginger, Rosemary, and Saffron, who were originally transferred to us from the New England Aquarium after being cold stunned in Massachusetts."
