Debris Spill Closes Eastbound Lane Of 27 East Near Westhampton

The eastbound lane is expected to be open soon, officials say.

WESTHAMPTON, NY — The eastbound lane of New York State Route 27 was closed at Exit 62 near County Road 111 Monday morning due to a debris spill, officials said.

New York State police said although the debris spill, which consisted mainly of rocks, was not expected to be complete until about 12:30 p.m., as of 10:15 a.m., the cleanup was almost finished and the roadway was expected to open shortly thereafter.
