'Erratic' Driver Charged With DWI In Hampton Bays: Police
He was arrested Saturday night, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — An "erratic" driver in Hampton Bays was charged with driving while intoxicated Saturday, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, at 7:20 p.m., a 911 call came in from a passing motorist reporting the driver on Flanders Road in Hampton Bays. Officers responded and located a driver failing to maintain his lane of travel, police said.
Edwin Barrera Torrez, 29, of Flanders was arrested and charged with DWI, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, driving without a license, and moving from lane unsafely, police said.

He was arrested, taken to Southampton Town police headquarters, and held overnight for morning arraignment, police said.
