The Hampton Bays Civic Association will host a candidate's debate night on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m. the Hampton Bays Senior Center on Ponquouge Avenue in Hampton Bays.
Members of the Association, as well as the general public, are invited to attend and participate in this traditionally informative and lively event.

New York State Assembly - Incumbent, Honorable Fred Thiele ( I ) vs. Challenger, Richard Blumenthal (R)
New York State Senate - Incumbent, Honorable Kenneth LaValle (R) vs. Challenger, Jennifer Maertz (D)

United States Congress - Incumbent, Honorable Timothy Bishop (D) vs. Challenger, Randy Altschuler (R)
For each pair of the 3 debates:
Each candidate (order determined by coin toss) will have 3 minutes for an opening statement.
Hampton Bays Civic Association asks each group of candidates 2 short questions - each answer limited to 2 minutes, followed by about 15 mins of brief questions from the audience to the Candidates. (2 minute answers permitted.)
Each candidate will have 2 minutes for closing remarks.
NOTE: No signs, placards, or campaign literature permitted in the debate room. Tables in the entrance hall will be available for campaign literature. Disorderly or rude conduct will not be tolerated.
