A "cheer-off" will be held when the Hampton Bays Varsity Cheerleaders will host squads from around Long Island for "Cheer for a Cure," to raise money for Cohen Children's Medical Center to aid cancer research. Each cheerleading squad will perform a halftime routine and a stunt in the contests and there will be a jump-off and tumbling showcase. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
*This event had been scheduled for the Hampton Bays High School, but was moved to the middle school due to the community response.
