Hampton Bays Budget, BOE Election Results Are In
Residents turned out Tuesday for the school budget vote.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY - Hampton Bays residents approved a $49,951,477 school budget on Tuesday.
The $49,951,477 budget was approved 721 to 230.
The total budget increase is 1.33 percent while the tax levy would increase 1.02 percent over the current year’s rate.

In the Board of Education election, two candidates, Richard Joslin and Kevin Springer, ran unopposed for two seats on the Hampton Bays Board of Education. Joslin received 838 votes and Springer, 668.
In addition, residents voted yes, 760 to 190 for a proposition to green light $300,000 that will be transferred from an existing fund balance to the general fund for repairs to buildings and facilities.
