Hampton Bays Man Charged With Stealing Vehicle, Tools: Police
He was charged with stealing a vehicle from a Flanders business, as well as construction tools, and arrested in Shinnecock Hills: PD.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested Tuesday and charged with stealing a vehicle and tools, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, Walter A. Juarez Nunez, 26, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony; fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor; and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, police said.
Police said a report came in at 3:24 p.m. that the stolen vehicle had been taken from a Flanders business, and that items had been stolen from additional vehicles in the Flanders area. Detectives investigated and at 5:11 p.m. located the stolen vehicle being driven by Nunez on Montauk

He was found to be in possession of assorted construction tools that had been reported stolen, as well as the vehicle, police said. He was released for a future court date, police said.
