Hampton Bays Motel 'Fully Engulfed' In Flames: Officials

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A fire broke out at a motel in Hampton Bays Friday, officials said.

According to the officials, the fire broke out about 4 p.m. at the motel on East Montauk Highway; the 8-room motel was "fully engulfed" in flames. No one was inside the building, officials said.

The Southampton Fire Department sent units for mutual aid; the Flanders Fire Department was standing by at the Hampton Bays Fire Department headquarters.
