On Sunday, July 6, in Defense Park in Shoreham/Wading River, the Hampton Bays Little League All Star team defeated Patchogue/Medford 5 runs to 3 to win the District 36 Championship. It is the first time in the league’s 52-year history Hampton Bays has taken the championship.
The Hampton Bays team finished up the season with a 4-1 record in Pool A. Patchogue/Medford was undefeated in Pool B.
