Irish Eyes Will Be Smiling At Westhampton's 50th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade

The Westhampton Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade is celebrating its 50th year Saturday.

WESTHAMPTON-HAMPTON BAYS, NY — In a time-honored tradition, scores are expected to turn out Saturday for the 50th Annual Westhampton Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The event is slated to begin at noon at the corner of Oneck Lane and Mill Road and follow the usual route along Main Street.

The parade brings the community out in force, with green the color of the day and Irish eyes smiling.

This year, the Westhampton Beach St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee has named Jim Hulme as the grand marshal of the event.

"Jim, a founding partner of the law firm Kelly and Hulme here in the Village, has served the greater Westhampton Beach area for many years as a dedicated community servant," the parade website states.

"From his work with the Westhampton Cultural Consortium and Immaculate Conception Parish to the Westhampton Performing Arts Center, Quogue Theater Company, Westhampton Rotary, Maureen’s Haven, Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, PTA and 23 years on the Westhampton Beach School Board, Jim has nearly done it all. There is lots more and this list doesn’t do him justice."

The theme of this year's parade is "Come Together."
