Local Artist to Exhibit Work at Rosalie Dimon Gallery

East End Arts is pleased to present an exciting new art exhibit at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery of the Jamesport Manor Inn in Jamesport featuring encaustic-infused photographic works by Robert Moore and abstract paintings by Adam Cohen.

The exhibit will run until April 29, with an Artists’ Reception open to the public on Sunday, March 1 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Local wines and artisanal cheeses will be served.

The exhibition is open for viewing during the Jamesport Manor Inn’s restaurant hours: Wednesdays through Sundays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. during lunch and dinner service.

Hampton Bays based photographic artist Robert Moore is presenting vibrant images from his series, Koi Dreams.

Moore has combined carefully constructed photomontage images inspired by his dreams and centuries-old Japanese paintings and prints with contemporary and old materials and processes creating new works that are startling in their physicality and emotional depth.

His process lays the delicate application of hand-applied hot wax infusion and cold wax coatings to the surface of his prints that are rendered on traditional Japanese plant fiber paper.

Eight photographic works from this series are part of Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s permanent art collection in Manhattan.

Also presenting works with Robert Moore in this exhibit is abstract artist Adam Cohen of Roxbury, New York showcasing recent paintings from his Tumultuous Harmonies series.
