Man, 74, Unlawfully Enters, Remains In Hamptons Home: Police
He was there without the consent of the homeowner, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Hampton Bays man, 74, was arrested Tuesday after he entered a private home and remained there unlawfully, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the man was arrested at 9:30 a.m. at the private Hampton Bays residence, where he'd entered and stayed without the homeowner's consent.
The Southampton Town Police Department's patrol division conducted an investigation and subsequently located and arrested the man at his residence; he was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, and issued a desk appearance ticket to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court at a future date, police said.
