Man Charged With Driving While Impaired By Drugs After Crash: PD

WESTHAMPTON, NY — A Rocky Point man was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by drugs after a crash on Dune Road Thursday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, the single-car crash took place at 5:43 p.m. in Westhampton. Bruce Fieldman, 63, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.

Fieldman was processed at Southampton Town Police headquarters and held for morning arraignment, police said.
