Man Charged With DWI After 3-Vehicle Crash In Hampton Bays: PD
He hit 2 cars in the opposite lane, leaving 2 injured, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Southampton man was charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing into two cars in Hampton Bays Sunday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the three-car crash took place at 9:15 p.m. on Lighthouse Road near the Ponquogue Bridge. John Aurrichio, 37, of Southampton, struck two vehicles in the opposite lane, police said. Aurrichio was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and "numerous' traffic infractions, police said.
A driver and passenger in one of the vehicles were injured and transported to the hospital for treatment, police said.

Aurrichio was processed at Southampton Town Police headquarters and held for morning arraignment, police said.
