Man Charged With DWI After Hampton Bays Crash: PD
He drove his Mercedes Benz off the roadway and crashed into a utility pole, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash Thursday night, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the one-car crash took place at 11:23 p.m on Springville Road near Springville Circle.
Josef B. Plemper, 29, drove his 2002 Mercedes Benz off the roadway and into a utility pole, police said. He was arrested at the scene and charged with misdemeanor DWI, police said.

He was held overnight for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court.
