Man Charged With DWI After Hampton Bays Crash: Police

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Southampton man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a single-car crash in Hampton Bays Saturday, police said.

Juan D. Delossantos Soledad, 28, was driving a 2004 Audi sedan which ran off the roadway on East Montauk Highway near Hillover Road at 6:05 p.m., Southampton Town police said. He struck a street sign and several trees, police said.

Delossantos Soledad was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and several traffic violations, police said. He was transported to Southampton Town police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment, police said.
