Man Charged With DWI After Hampton Bays Crash: Police
The Riverhead man was arrested Thursday night, police said.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Riverhead man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash in Hampton Bays Thursday night, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the two-car crash took place at 6 p.m. in the vicinity of North Road and Inlet Road West. Police said that the driver of one of the vehicles struck the other on New York State Route 27.
No injuries were reported, police said.

Edwin D. Avila-Ochoa, 45, was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and traffic infractions, police said.
Avila-Ochoa was transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters where he was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
