HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a Hampton Bays crash Saturday, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, at about 10:48 p.m., the department's communications division received a report of a single-vehicle motor vehicle crash in the vicinity of Bay Avenue East and Lynn Avenue.
Patrol units responded and determined that the driver of the vehicle, while operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition, left the travel portion of the roadway and struck a guide rail, causing damage to the vehicle, police said.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash, police said.
Peter C. Krugman, 60, of Hampton Bays, was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police headquarters for processing; he was charged with two counts of DWI, misdemeanors, and other traffic offenses, police said.
