Man Charged With DWI Struck Jeep, Tree: Police
He was arrested early Saturday, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Southampton man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after hitting a parked Jeep and a tree in Hampton Bays early Saturday, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the crash took place at 5:28 a.m. on Argonne Road near Wakeman Road. Jeremy Ramos, 19, who was driving a 2018 Ford, was heading north on Wakeman Road when he veered off the road and struck both the Jeep and the tree, police said.
He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI, taken to Southampton Town police headquarters and held for arraignment, police said.
