Man Charged With Felony DWI In Hampton Bays: Police

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A man was charged with driving while intoxicated in Hampton Bays Saturday night, police said.

Pedro Mauricio-Velazquez, 39, of Hampton Bays was arrested at 12:56 a.m. on East Montauk Highway after he was seen failing to maintain his lane. He was arrested and charged with felony DWI due to a prior conviction, as well as violation of several vehicle and traffic laws, police said.

Mauricio-Velazquez was taken to Southampton Town police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment, police said.
