Man Charged With Felony DWI In Hampton Bays: Police
He was arrested early Saturday, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY ¸— A Southampton man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Hampton Bays early Saturday, police said.
Wilmer Guartazaca, 33, was arrested on Montauk Highway at 1:29 a.m., Southampton Town police said. Guartazaca was stopped after he failed to maintain his lane and was seen driving at a slow rate of speed, impeding traffic, police said.
Upon interview, officers determined that he was driving his motor vehicle while intoxicated, police said. Guartazaca was arrested, charged with felony DWI and several vehicle and traffic law violations, and taken to Southampton Town police headquarters for processing, police said.

He was held to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court at morning arraignment, police said.
