Man Crashes On Purpose Into Parked Vehicle, Causes Chain Reaction: PD
He was hospitalized for pain, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Riverhead man was arrested recently after he intentionally crashed his car into a parked vehicle, sparking a chain reaction, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, a 911 call came in Sunday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. about a car crash with injuries on Wakefield Road in Hampton Bays.
An investigation revealed that Glenn Stevens, 72, intentionally drove his car into a parked Nissan Rogue and the force of the impact forced the Rogue to crash into a parked RV nearby, police said. Stevens totaled his car in the process and was transported to the hospital for pain; upon his medical release he was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal mischief, police said.

He was held overnight and brought to arraignment at Southampton Justice Court on Feb. 12, where he was released, police said.
