Man Dies In Head-On Crash In Flanders: Police
An East Quogue man was injured in the crash, police say.
EAST QUOGUE, NY — A Riverhead man died early Thursday in a head-on crash in Flanders, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the crash took place at 6:26 a.m. on County Road 104 near Pleasure Drive.
Oniel-Alcides Aguilar-Guillen, 30, was driving southbound on CR 104 when he lost control of his 2008 Toyota Tundra and crossed into the northbound lane of traffic, striking a 2018 Ford pickup truck head-on; the truck was driven by Michael Algozzino, 62, of East Quogue, police said.

Aguilar-Guillen was pronounced dead at the scene; Algozzino was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Southampton Town Police patrol units were immediately dispatched along with the East Quogue Fire Department and East Quogue Volunteer Ambulance; New York State Police assisted with road closures and Southampton Town Police detectives responded to conduct the investigation, police said.
