Man Robbed, Punched To The Ground In Hampton Bays: Police
He was punched and, once on the ground, the robber stole money from his wallet, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A 47-year-old Hampton Bays man was punched and robbed early Saturday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the incident took place at 2:14 a.m. when the man, who was walking on Springville Road, was punched several times by an unknown person.
Once he was on the ground, the robber took his wallet and removed $175, police said

The robber ran off and the man called 911; he was taken to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
Southampton Town Police detectives are investigating the incident, police said.
