Man Steals Cart Of Groceries, Charged With Felony Grand Larceny: PD

He left the Hampton Bays Stop & Shop with a full cart and didn't pay, police say.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Miami, Florida man was charged with shoplifting after he left the Stop & Shop in Hampton Bays with a full cart of groceries and didn't pay, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Kevin D. Richards, 56, was arrested Saturday at 4:24 p.m. and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. He was taken to Southampton Town Police headquarters for processing and released on a desk appearance ticket to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court at a later date, police said.
