Man Tied Up, Robbed at Gunpoint During Home Invasion: Police
BREAKING: The man was eating lunch in his kitchen when two men appeared and pointed guns at him, police said.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Hampton Bays man was tied up and robbed at gunpoint during a home invasion at his house Thursday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, a call came in at 1:45 p.m. about a burglary at a Hampton Bays home; responding officers found no one home.
The victim reported that he was home alone eating lunch at his kitchen table shortly after 12:30 pm, police said.

Not hearing anyone enter his residence he reported that suddenly two male subjects appeared in his kitchen and pointed guns at him, police said.
The victim reported that the perpetrators tied him up and demanded to know the layout of the house and where valuables were kept, police said.

After what seemed to be 30 minutes of hearing the subjects going though the residence he heard them leave in what sounded like two vehicles, police said.
The perpetrators fled the area leaving the victim tied up, but not physically harmed. Another resident of the home returned home at approximately 1:45 pm and found the victim outside of the residence attempting to free himself from being bound by tape when he called police, authorities said.
Proceeds of the burglary included an undetermined amount of cash, jewelry, a safe, electronics and a 2009 BMW, police said.
Detectives believe that at least one of the perpetrators may have been in the vicinity of a M&T Bank ATM machine located at 248 Main Street in Center Moriches at approximately 2:09 p.m., police said.
The subject is described as black, approximately 5’8, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt covering the top of his head and much of his face, medium to slim build, possibly traveling with another black man, police said. Anyone in that vicinity that may have encountered the pair is asked to call police, authorities said.
At approximately 5 p.m, the stolen BMW vehicle was recovered still running and abandoned approximately 2 miles from the incident scene, police said.
