Masked Hampton Bays Burglar Captured: Police
BREAKING: The man ransacked a home and stole a laptop, police said.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A suspect wanted for a Hampton Bays burglary was taken into custody on Friday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the detective division arrested Victor Alamo, 20, of Hampton Bays, and charged him with second degree burglary, a felony.
Alamo was found inside a Hampton Bays residence on Ponquogue Avenue on October 12 at about 8:30 a.m., police said.

The victim had left the home two hours earlier and when he returned, he found Alamo inside the residence wearing a mask, police said.
The victim asked him what he was doing and the masked Alamo replied that he was looking for a neighbor that he called by name, police said.

Alamo then fled on foot removing the mask in eyeshot of several witnesses as he walked away, police said.
The victim discovered that the house and been ransacked and a laptop computer was taken, police said.
Alamo had plans at the time to be out of state for several months and the investigation concluded upon his return when detectives identified Alamo as being the perpetrator, police said.
He was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court on Friday and released on his own recognizance to return to court on a later trial date, police said.
