Missing Vulnerable Adult Found Safe: Police
A K-9 unit found him in a wooded area about a quarter mile from his home, police say.
REMSENBURG-SPEONK — A missing "vulnerable" adult was found safe Thursday afternoon, police said.
Southampton Town police, with the assistance of New York State Police, a Suffolk County police K-9 unit, a Suffolk County aviation unit, the Westhampton Beach Police Department, a Southampton Village police K-9 unit, and members of the Eastport Fire Department were all engaged in a search for Allen Klein, 82, who went missing around noon from his home in the Remsenburg-Speonk area, police said.
A Suffolk County police K-9 unit located Klein in a wooded area roughly a quarter mile from his residence; Klein is being evaluated by Westhampton War Memorial Ambulance Association, police said.
