Mission Trip Planned To Help People Of Ukraine

The Westhampton Beach man plans to lead a group to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine refugees. Efforts to help Ukraine have been ongoing.

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — The mission to help the people of Ukraine continues in Westhampton Beach.

Samuel Michael Terry of Westhampton Beach has kicked off a GoFundMe page, "Sam's Missionary Journey." The page says that he works with a non-profit organization, Youth With A Mission.

"We are all about knowing God and making hime known," he said. "This season coming up I will be leading an outreach of eight people for to months to Romania to help the refugees that fled there from Ukraine, as well as helping others in need with church and evangelism ministry."

The group, he said, will be building and restoring homes to shelter refugees, as well as providing families with food and toiletries, "giving basic necessities to those fleeing Ukraine — as well as sharing God’s love and hope with them along the way."

He plans to help those less fortunate by preparing meals, providing God’s love and basic necessities, church ministry, and street evangelism

"Any financial support is greatly appreciated as there are a lot of expenses involved," he said.

For weeks, East End residents have held rallies and collected donations in support of the Ukraine citizens.
