Pedestrian Struck By DWI Driver In Quogue, Seriously Injured: PD

The driver was intoxicated by alcohol and drugs, police say.

QUOGUE, NY — A pedestrian was seriously injured in Quogue after being struck by an intoxicated motorist early Sunday, police said.

According to Quogue Village Police, the incident took place at 12:05 a.m. on Quogue Street near the intersection of Quogo Neck Lane. Bianca Spano, 29, of Quogue Village, was traveling east on Quogue Street when she struck the pedestrian, police said.

Spano was arrested and charged with second-degree vehicular assault; driving while intoxicated by alcohol and by drugs; and a lane violation, police said. She was slated for arraignment Sunday morning, police said.
