Police: East Quogue Woman Arrested For Driving Drunk in Mattituck

The arrest was made on Saturday evening.

An East Quogue woman was arrested for driving drunk in Mattituck on Saturday evening, according to Southold Town Police.

Ashley Beecher, 25, was driving a 2013 Kia westbound on Route 48 and as she entered Sound Avenue she passed two vehicles on the right, police said.

She then continued westbound at a high speed until she was pulled over, police said.

She was found to be intoxicated and was arrested, according to police.

Beecher was processed at police headquarters and held for arraignment.
