Police: Homeless Fugitive Arrested at Hampton Bays Cemetery

The arrest was made last month.

A homeless man with several outstanding felony warrants was arrested at a Hampton Bays cemetery last month, Southampton Town Police reported on Monday.

On October 29, officers patroling the area approached several people camping in the Good Ground Cemetery at about 1 a.m., police said.

Frederick Forster, 49, was found to have several outstanding felony warrants from the State of Georgia, according to police.

Forster was arrested and charged as a fugitive from justice, police said.

He was taken to Southampton Town Justice court and remanded to Suffolk County jail pending extradition to Georgia.
