Police ID Woman Found Dead In Hampton Bays
The woman was found on the shoreline at Hubbard County Park, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — Police have identified the woman found dead on the Hampton Bays shoreline as Kristy Westerlind, 40, of Flanders.
Westerlind was found dead at Hubbard County Park on Friday, according to Suffolk Police.
Detectives believe the cause of death was non-criminal and the investigation is continuing, police said.

A fisherman walking on the beach of Flanders Bay discovered Westerlind on the shoreline around 3:55 p.m. Friday, police said.
Southampton Town Police Department officers responded and contacted the Suffolk County Police Department Homicide Squad. Westerlind's body was transported to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
