Police: Man Arrested After Stealing Wallet From Car in Hampton Bays
The incident occurred on Monday, police say.
A Stony Brook man was arrested after stealing a wallet from a car in Hampton Bays on Monday, according to Southampton Town Police.
Police say they responded to a report of a dispute near the intersection of Fanning Avenue and Canoe Place Road.
Arriving officers were alerted by a person involved in the dispute that another person had stolen a wallet containing stolen credit cards from a nearby car on Argonne Road, police said.

Detectives responded and conducted an investigation which led to the arrest of Dylan P. Vitti, 23, according to police.
Vitti was charged with fourth degree grand larceny, according to police.

He was processed at Southampton Town Police Headquarters and held for arraignment.
