Ponquogue Bridge In Hampton Bays Could Close Due To Henri

The bridge will be closed to the public when conditions are deemed too dangerous for residents, police say.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — The Ponquogue Bridge in Hampton Bays could be closed during Hurricane Henri, police said.

Southampton Town Police said residents should be prepared for the closure on Sunday; the situation will be closely monitored and the bridge will be closed to the public when conditions are deemed too dangerous for residents, police said.

The duration of the bridge closure will be determined by the severity and length of the hurricane, police said.
