'Reckless' Driver Charged With Felony DWI In Hampton Bays: Police

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated Tuesday night, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, at 9:39 p.m., a 911 call came in about a "reckless" driver on Sunrise Highway in Hampton Bays; the vehicle was located on Flanders Road.

Robinson Echeverry, 34, was arrested and charged with felony DWI, due to a prior conviction, as well as failing to maintain his proper lane, a traffic infraction, police said.

Echeverry was held for morning arraignment, police said.
