Search on For Thief Who Stole Trailer, $30K Worth of Equipment, From Speonk Storage Yard

SPEONK, NY - The search is on for the thief who stole a trailer, along with $30,000 of equipment, for a storage yard in Speonk, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Southampton Town Police Department are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who the 2011 Trao 20-foot cargo trailer, which was stolen on June 10 from the Sterling Tree storage yard, located at 1212 Speonk Riverhead Road in Speonk, police said.

The trailer was covered in a vinyl green leaf decal with Sterling Tree printed on both sides, officials said.
