Shark Sightings Close Beach In Westhampton To Swimming: PD
The sharks were seen feeding on bunker about 200 yards off the beach, police say.

WESTHAMPTON, NY — Sharks were reportedly feeding on bunker off Pikes Beach in Westhampton Tuesday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the sharks were seen about 200 to 300 yards off Pikes Beach.
The beach is currently closed to swimming, police said.

The news follows multiple reports of26 shark sightings in Nassau this summer; Smith Point County Park in Shirley was also closed to swimmingon Monday after shark sightings.
