Southampton Police Log: DWIs and Resisting Arrest
Southampton Town Police reports from May 29 through June 4.

Resisting Arrest
• William Thomas Ardolino, 22, of Shirley, was arrested May 28 at 6:37 p.m. and charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors, as well as harassment in the second degree, a violation. Police said Ardolino had been ejected from the Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays for being disorderly with the bartenders, and then screamed and caused alarm in the parking lot when asked to leave the property, saying he did not do anything wrong. After several attempts to get him to leave the property, police reported, Ardolino shoved a police officer.

Contempt
• Sergio G. McGarvie, 29, of Flushing, was arrested May 29 at 2:18 p.m. in Hampton Bays and charged with criminal contempt in the second degree, a misdemeanor. Police said McGarvie was in violation of a stay-away order.

Driving While Intoxicated
• Fernando Elias, 33, of Westhampton, was arrested May 31 at 1:06 a.m. at County Road 31 and Montauk Highway in Westhampton Beach and charged with a misdemeanor count of DWI as well as moving from lane unsafely, driving too slowly and driving without a license, all traffic infractions.
• Carlos J. Gordillo, 23, of Southampton, was arrested June 3 at 1:07 a.m. on Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as an equipment violation.
• Jessica Castro, 25, of Hampton Bays, was arrested June 3 at 4:03 a.m. near the intersection of Montauk Highway and Ocean Avenue in East Quogue and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as failure to signal, a traffic infraction.
• Johan Portilla, 30, of Elmhurst, was arrested May 28 at 6:16 p.m. near the intersection of Ludlam Avenue and Flanders Road in Riverside and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as passing on the shoulder and driving on the shoulder, both traffic infractions.
• Lina M. Larco, 25, of Jamaica, Queens, was arrested May 28 at 7:40 p.m. near the intersection of Dune Road and Mermaid Lane in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as a traffic infraction.
• Juan Santos, 26, of Brooklyn, was arrested May 28 at 4:51 p.m. on Dune Road in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as driving without a license, an infraction. Police said Santos turned his vehicle on after being told not to drive.
• William Gallego, 29, no residence given, was arrested June 3 at 2:58 a.m. near the intersection of Jagger Lane and Montauk Highway in Westhampton and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as driving without a license, a traffic infraction. Police said Gallego was pulled over for driving with a headlamp out and crossing into the oncoming lane of traffic, when an officer observed he was intoxicated.
• William Morocho, 33, of Jackson Heights was arrested June 3 at 2:54 a.m. near the Montauk Highway West and Flanders Road intersection in Hampton Bays and charged with aggravated DWI with a child in the vehicle, a felony, as well as driving with a child younger than 10 without a seatbelt, a traffic infraction. Police said Morocho was stopped for failure to maintain his lane and he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. There were two children younger than 15 in the rear seat, police said.
• Bernardo A. Benitez, 34, of Flanders, was arrested May 29 at 6:05 a.m. near the Jackson Avenue South and Old Riverhead Road intersection in Hampton Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and an additional traffic infraction. Police said a passing motorist had called in to report a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway, and Benitez was found sleeping behind the wheel with the engine running.
• Jameula J. Carter, 30, of Flanders, was arrested May 29 at 8:34 p.m. near the intersection of Priscilla Avenue and Evergreen Road in Flanders and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree, alcohol related, a felony. Police said Carter was pulled over for driving a dirt bike without a helmet or license plate.
• Fredy E. Castro, 22, of Southampton, was arrested May 29 at 5:37 a.m. on East Tiana Road in Hamptons Bays and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as moving from lane unsafely, a traffic infraction. Police said Castro was involved in a motor vehicle accident in which he struck several shrubs on East Tiana Road and was discovered sleeping in his truck with the engine running.
Circumventing an Interlock Device
• Collin M. Woodley, 54, of Riverhead, was arrested June 3 at 1:46 p.m. at Peconic Avenue in Riverside and charged with circumventing an interlock device and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree, alcohol related, both misdemeanors, as well as following too closely, a traffic infraction. Police said Woodley was involved in a minor accident in the Flanders traffic circle and it was discovered his license was suspended for a prior DWI arrest.
Driving Impaired
• Mayur M. Mallik, 23, of Dix Hills, was arrested May 28 at 9:13 p.m. near the intersection of Montauk Highway and Bay Road in Quogue Village and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol, a misdemeanor, as well as failure to stop for a stop sign, a traffic infraction. Police said Mallik was under the influence of marijuana.
