A Stately Award

Westhampton Beach Assistant Principal and Hauppauge High School Alum Receives NYS Superintendent's Award

Hauppauge High School Class of 2002 Alumna Carolyn Probst received the Raymond R. Delaney Memorial Scholarship from the New York State Council of School Superintendents (NYSCOSS) at their Annual Fall Leadership Summit in Saratoga Springs, New York in September 2016. Probst currently serves as an assistant principal at Westhampton Beach High School in Westhampton Beach, New York.

“Receiving the Raymond Delaney Memorial Scholarship is a tremendous honor. I admire and appreciate the Council’s support of aspiring school district leaders,” stated Probst. “I currently am pursuing a doctoral degree in K-12 Educational Leadership and Policy at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. It is a privilege to be part of the doctoral program at Vanderbilt University, and this scholarship will provide valuable assistance in completing my degree.”
The Raymond R. Delaney Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually by NYSCOSS in recognition of professional and academic credentials and the desire to serve in the field of educational administration. Sponsored by Utica National Insurance Group, only one scholarship is awarded each year. Probst was nominated for the NYSCOSS award by Westhampton Beach Superintendent of Schools Michael R. Radday.
