Stranger Enters Hampton Bays Home, Punches Owner Multiple Times: PD

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested after he entered the home of someone he didn't know and punched the owner multiple times, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place Saturday at 10:29 p.m., when a call came in from a resident about an unknown person in their home, physically attacking the owner.

residence in an intoxicated condition, believing that it was his own residence, police said.
When the homeowner confronted the uninvited adult male, and attempted to remove him from the residence, he engaged the homeowner in a physical confrontation and proceeded to punch the homeowner multiple times, police said.

The physical confrontation resulted in no physical injuries, police said.
When the officers attempted to place the uninvited man into custody, he resisted the officers' attempts, police said.
Seth Edwin Segura, 29, was arrested and transported to Southampton Town police headquarters for processing; Segura was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, and, resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, police said.
Segura was released on an appearance ticket with a future arraignment date, police said.
