Students Meet Famed Anthropologist Jane Goodall Over Skype
It was an extraordinary experience these lucky middle school students will remember forever.
WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Westhampton Beach Middle School students who "met" primatologist and anthropologist Jane Goodall over a Skype call on April 11.
The excited kids learned about Goodall’s love of animals, how she became interested in studying chimpanzees, her foundation,Roots & Shoots — founded by Goodall to help students focus on environmental, conservation and humanitarian issues — and how every person can play a role in preserving the planet.
At the end of the call, the students were able to take a photo with Goodall.
