Teacher Taps Into Fidget Spinner Craze To Make Learning Fun
Is your child obsessed with fidget spinners? Here's a teacher who used fidget spinners to teach some important science principles.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A local science teacher is tapping into his students' love for one of the hottest toys in the nation to make learning even more fun.
In an effort to embrace the fidget spinner craze, Hampton Bays Middle School science teacher Scott Garofola recently engaged his students in a lesson surrounding the science behind the popular toy, the district said.
As part of the activity, fifth-grade students worked in groups to record the weight, dimensions, and materials of a fidget spinner, as well as conduct spinning trials; the students then graphed and compared and analyzed their data with their peers, the district said.
