Third Public Hearing On 'The Hills' to Be Held At East Quogue Elementary School
The venue was chosen due to the large crowd expected to attend, town officials said.

EAST QUOGUE, NY — Southampton Town has announced a change of venue for the third public hearing on "The Hills."
The third public hearing for “The Hills” will now take place at the East Quogue Elementary School on January 10 at 6 p.m., the site of the two previous public hearings on the project, proposed by Arizona-based Discovery Land Corporation.
At the last public hearing for “The Hills” on December 5, Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman had announced the hearing would be held at Town Hall, a release said.

But due to the expected crowd size for the third public hearing, the location has now been changed back to the East Quogue Elementary School, located at 6 Central Avenue.
“The Hills at Southampton” is a proposed mixed use planned development district to develop 168 acres with 118 residential units an 18-hole golf course and associated club house, a pond/pond house, and maintenance area, all to be accessed by new roads and driveways.

In recent years, residents have come out on both sides of the proposal.
