Tiny Constituents Honored By Legislator For Giving Spirits
The children collected crayons for students at a school hit hard by Hurricane Harvey, district officials say.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — Hampton Bays Elementary School second graders were lauded by an elected official for their generosity and giving spirits.
Students in Kristen Webber's class got a visit from Suffolk County Legislator Bridget Fleming on Dec. 8; she came with a proclamation for the kids, applauding their hard work, according to district officials.
The students, the district said, collected hundreds of crayons to be donated to children at the Burnett Elementary School in Texas, hit hard by Hurricane Harvey.
