Town of Southampton to Launch 'Operation Medicine Cabinet' on Thursday

The event will take place at the Hampton Bays Senior Center.

The Town of Southampton and Councilwoman Bridget Fleming announced they will be launching “Operation Medicine Cabinet-Senior Safety Days” on Thursday.

The event will take place at the Hampton Bays Senior Center located at 25 Ponquogue Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“Operation Medicine Cabinet” is for Seniors and their caregivers that participate in the Town’s Senior Services program and will rotate on the first Thursday of each month at the Towns three centers.

The program is a safe way for seniors to dispose of unwanted pharmaceuticals and those that would like to participate should seal unwanted medicines in clear plastic bags and dispose of containers prior to arrival.
