Westhampton Beach Athletes Earn Prestigious Award

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — Westhampton Beach High School athletes have made their community proud.

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has named Westhampton Beach High School a Scholar-Athlete School of Excellence for the 2021 to 2022 school year, the district said.

To earn the recognition, 75 percent of the school’s varsity teams were required to hold a grade point average above 90 percent; Westhampton is among 148 schools to receive the honor, the district said.

"The Westhampton Beach School District congratulates its varsity teams on an outstanding job," school officials said.
